Members Can Sponsor Directly and Have Logo on Shirt

The Wayland Business Association executive board has agreed to support the "Wayland Cleans Up!" effort by buying bright orange safety T-shirts for the volunteers – mostly high school students who will be collecting trash but also sorting it for recycling.

Individual WBA members are invited to directly sponsor the cost, and the board will make up the balance. Members who contribute individually will get their logo on the shirt along with the WBA logo as sponsors.

Checks for $50 or $100 (different size logos) should be mailed to the WBA mailbox by March 24th. Logos should be mailed to Cliff Kolovson at cliff@pointed.com.

For Saturday’s clean up effort, volunteers are needed to collect litter and other trash from public roadsides, at major intersections, along the edges of ball fields, and on many beautiful side roads where there are great open spaces where people simply toss trash. The areas with the most litter are the bigger roads… like Rte. 27 north of town’s center, and along Old Connecticut Path, and Rte. 20, as well as Pelham Island Road, Glezen Lane – and so many more.

The cleanup campaign also will be participating in the Earth Day Celebration sponsored by the Wayland Schools' GREEN TEAM* on Sunday April 11, 2010 from 11 am to 2 pm at the Wayland Town Building, 41 Cochituate Rd.
