Members Help Information – Edit Company Information

Editing Your Listing

Each member has their own directory listing on the WBA site. This listing is available to any visitor to the WBA's public Web site. This is a big advantage to you – especially if you don't yet have a Web page or Web site of your own. You can edit your own listing, showing store hours, other information to help people find you.

Once you log in to your account on the WBA Web site, you can edit either the "Company Information" or the "Account Information." You start the edit process by clicking on the "Edit" buttons at the top right of one of the tables.

In the edit windows (below is the top part of the Company Information edit page), you'll see the existing information or blank fields. You can type in fields or use pull-down menus (e.g., Category, shown at cursor in image below) of choices to make entries. Please follow on-screen instructions about format, etc.

CoInfoMain

There is one field, the "Displayed Description" field (at bottom of the image above), that has special buttons to help you edit your text. Some of the buttons are obvious, very similar to those in various word-processing and other office applications (e.g., B for bold, I for Italics, icons for setting text left, centered and right). Others are less obvious and are covered in a special section of this help information.

CoInfo Addresses

There are two address areas.... one is for the company's mailing address vs. an actual street address. Many businesses use a PO Box number for mailing bills, etc. For businesses with a storefront or office where customers might go, you'll want to provide a real, physical street address which we use in building an automatic "MapQuest" link for your page. Visitors can then get a map of your location or directly produce directions to your office or store.

CoInfo Images

This page also is used to upload your company logo and a photo, you click on the "Browse" buttons, find the appropriate GIF or JPEG images on your hard disk and select them. When you click on the "SAVE" button at the very bottom, it will upload your graphics and set links for your online display page!

NOTE: These graphics must be either a GIF or JPEG format (typical internet graphic formats). If you have a large photo from a digital camera, our system WILL resize it appropriately for our display page. There is a limit, so don't try to upload too large a file. (For techies: our images are approximately 500 pixels wide. The file size limit is 1 MB.)

Finally.... you MUST click the Save button to explicitly save all your entries and selections in our database. If you click the Quit button (or hit your Return key), all entries will be lost and you will return to the main page.
