McKay's Restaurant and Pub, Commonwealth Road, Wayland, 6 pm. Feel free to come to J.J's as early as 5:30pm to connect with other WBA members; dinner will be served at 6:30pm. Our guest speaker will be Jerry Boos, our Treasurer and a CPA. He will speak to the five basic tax facts businesses should know and five lesser-known tax items to consider. And, prior to the meeting please join us for a Business Brainstorming Session beginning at 5:00pm. In November we began a discussion about how to set prices and rates, and we hope to continue that topic. Those who offer services on an hourly basis are encouraged to join us. Share your experiences, hear how others set their rates, and trade suggestions and ideas to better handle things like introductory rates, price increases, and other issues associated with small business pricing. Any WBA member business interested in becoming more involved with the association should consider serving on the Executive Board. Contact Patricia MacNeil at the Village Bank if you are interested. The WBA member directory (PDF, printable version) will be updated soon! Last call for people to join for the current fiscal year (that runs thru June) to be included. Contact the treasurer asap with membership payment.
