Wayland Business Association

As we begin our third year as co-presidents of the Wayland Business Association we are excited about the new direction for the organization this year.  During the last two years, we have increased our membership to 99 members and developed a new website and administrative program.

This year we are hoping to reach a membership of 110.  We are also enhancing our website to provide a forum for discounts offered from members to fellow members, and from members to the general public.  We hope that at least a third of our members will participate in this program in the first year.

Our Executive Committee has five new members and we are excited to focus on a new town-wide public relations effort called  “Economic Recover Begins at Home.”  This program is designed to encourage WBA members to do more business with fellow members and to also encourage Wayland residents to buy locally first.

Our fall fundraiser will be at Vokes Theatre again as we continue our tradition of raising money to support Wayland community organizations such as the Wayland High School Scholarship Fund, Wayland Scouters, Wayland Historical Society, Wayland Charitable Committee, Waycam, Wayland Hospice, Golden Tones and more.

We appreciate the opportunity to have served as the Co-Presidents of the WBA and we look forward to continuing to improve the organization and making Wayland a better place to conduct business.

Dave D'Orlando and Sue Collins, Co-Presidents

The WBA is more than just a business group. It is part of the fiber of the Town. It is a strong, respected voice in the on-going dialog to define the future business and civic environment of Wayland and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
